Danaysha Cosbert is second-year Clinical Psychology Doctoral Student at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She received her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at North Carolina Central University. Danaysha has completed multiple internships in which she has gained experience in psychological assessments with all age groups and psychotherapy with adolescents and young adults. She also gained experience working with children with autism, intellectual disabilities, and adults with substance abuse disorders. Danaysha looks forward to having strong therapeutic connections with her clients by promoting empathy, compassion, and providing her clients with the necessary tools they need to accomplish their therapeutic goals. Her approaches to therapy include Integrative Therapy with emphasis in Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive-Behavior Therapy. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and will obtain her psychological license once she graduates from her program. Until then, she continues to practice and improve her skills through frequent supervision and excelling in her classes. Danaysha is currently working under the direct supervision of Dr. Christina Wohleber in order to increase her areas of expertise in treatment for complex trauma, mood disorders, and working with the LGBTQ+ population among other skills.
