    Licensed Professional Counselor (She/Her)

I have several educational and work experiences that have allowed me to develop an intuitive counseling style. I have a Master of Science degree in Higher Education Counseling with K-12 School Counseling certification. I also have my LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), my BSL (Behavioral Specialist License), and I have my NCC (National Counselor Certification). I have worked as an Outpatient Counselor, Behavioral Consultant, Mobile Therapist, and School Counselor. I am also a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA).

My main specialty populations/diagnoses to work with are: trauma/stressor related, depressive, anxiety, personality, feeding/eating disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders. The focus of my counseling sessions is to work with each client to develop a comfortable space to discuss, identify, and work on behaviors of concern. My approach is holistic and addresses the impact of past trauma, inner desires/goals, and spiritual/sexual identity exploration and how this impacts daily interactions with others.

After a client finishes working with me they feel more in touch with who they are as individuals, are more able to embrace empowered thinking and resilience in all aspects of their lives, and are more willing to practice daily strategies in mindfulness focused on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with an emphasis on radical acceptance. I also utilize motivational interviewing which is a client centered approach focused on positive behavior change.

Some of my hobbies/interests are: Writing and traveling to New England. I was born and raised in northern Vermont and have a great appreciation for the great outdoors. I’m proud of being a working mother of 4 teenage children and I know that creating emotional/physical balance in myself is the best gift I can give the people that are closest to me. This belief is what inspired me to be a therapist. Every individual has unique gifts, but not every individual finds their unique gifts due to lack of support or trauma. Working through trauma and finding healing is the path to self-acceptance and self-love. I believe everyone has something they can contribute to the world that will have a positive impact. That’s why I hope you take that courageous first step to start the counseling process so that you can find inner healing and a path that brings self-understanding and resilience.
