Alexander Schmidt is a Master’s Level counselor working under supervision towards Licensed Professional Counselor status. He received his Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from West Chester University in 2024, and built a diverse range of experience in helping teenagers and adults of all life stages manage and overcome anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, life transitions, disability, identity exploration, relationship concerns, mood disorders, addictions and more.

If you’re reading this, you or someone you know and love are most likely going through it. Life is probably not very easy right now. You’re not alone. Maybe the hardships are new to you, maybe they are all you’ve ever known. Either way, one thing is true: change is possible. Pursuing change, healing, and growth is often easier and more effective with someone at your side helping and supporting you. Safety, support, compassion, authenticity, and acceptance are central to my practice and provide the foundation for a strong working relationship to deepen self-understanding and progress towards your goals.

Together, we explore difficult thoughts, feelings, problems and their origins, alongside your strengths and potential solutions to strengthen your sense of agency and wellbeing, using evidence-based techniques shaped over time to what works best for you as a person. Through treating ourselves with compassion and kindness, we can thoughtfully change our current patterns, and build skills to act in our given circumstances with more intention, effectiveness, enjoyment, and courage. I believe in you and I look forward to working with you. You have been strong enough to get here, and you are strong enough to take the next step.

In addition to helping clients, I love stories, music, books, animation and movies, and playing games with family and friends. I love the outdoors and really love a chai latte or mug of peppermint tea.
