We do not choose our biological foundations or childhood environments, and we cannot always foresee the distressing events we endure throughout our lives. What we can often rely on to alleviate and overcome these difficult circumstances is one another — whether in the form of a trusted friend, family member, or therapist. My range of experiences throughout the years have provided me with a holistic perspective to better assist a diverse array of clients. I work with clients on an individual level, in addition to providing family sessions to create more cohesion and understanding between family members across settings. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional identification and regulation, identity and self-concept, grief and loss, life transitions, parent-child relational problems, and stress management.
In addition to Cognitive Behavioral methods, I utilize Psychodynamic strategies to explore childhood dynamics informing identity development and behavioral patterns into adulthood. I assist my clients in practicing self-compassion and mindfulness techniques to develop a more meaningful relationship with themselves, and be more intentional when interacting with the world around them.
My therapeutic approaches are:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Psychodynamic Therapy
- Family Systems Therapy
- Person-centered Therapy
- Mindfulness-based
- Trauma-informed
