    (she/her)

Hi there! My name is Karalyn Schmidt and I hold a Master’s degree of Arts in Counseling from Arcadia University.  My work experience has been in community mental health where I helped folks from all backgrounds and identities.

I work with children, teens, and adults who are navigating the ups and downs of life—those moments where everything feels overwhelming, uncertain, or stuck. Whether you’re a teen trying to make sense of your identity, an adult feeling lost in your relationships, or a child learning to express big emotions, I offer supportive spaces where we can explore what’s holding you back and help you move toward a more authentic, connected life.

My collaborative and person-centered approach is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and deep respect for each person’s unique story. I believe that healing begins with feeling safe enough to be fully seen — not for who you think you should be, but for who you truly are. Being human in this world can be incredibly difficult, and I strive to offer a space where you can lay down the weight you’ve been carrying and just breathe.  Together, we’ll explore the places where you feel stuck, gently reconnect with parts of yourself that may feel lost or wounded and begin to loosen the grip of old patterns. This work can lead to deeper self-awareness, greater resilience, and a growing sense of inner strength. It’s not about becoming someone new — it’s about coming home to yourself.

As we begin this work together, my hope is for you to feel a little less alone and a little more like you. You don’t have to have it all figured out to take the first step. Healing doesn’t mean fixing what’s broken (spoiler alert-you were never broken in the first place!) it means learning to tend to your hurt with care and compassion.  Starting the journey may feel uncertain and scary but courage often walks hand in hand with fear. You don’t have to feel ready, but you don’t have to do this alone.

If this resonates with you and feel this is a good fit, I invite you to reach out — let’s take that first step together.

    • Person-Centered
    • Relational/Attachment Based
