    Licensed Professional Counselor (They/Them)

I love to work with queer (LGBTAI+) youth and adults. I tend to connect best with teens because I bring my genuine self into sessions. My hope would be that clients feel understood: seen and heard. I support folks in finding inner self-confidence who are often held back by societal expectations of who they “should” be.

I work with folks to find what motivates them internally and support them in identifying actionable steps they can take to actualize what they want in their lives, whether it’s making an observable change or finding internal acceptance. People are shaped by their world; if their world is chaotic or out of their control, I try to help folks to navigate their challenges and let them know YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

I play roller derby, I love YA fiction, and I play a lot of video games in my free time.

I feel proud of my own ability to navigate a chaotic world. I am out as a pansexual, gender-fluid person, which are identities that have been politicized and demonized. I know from my personal experience (as well as through the folks who have trusted me) that sometimes just knowing you are not the “only one” can be enough. “LGBTQ[IA+] youth are more than four times as likely to attempt suicide than their peers” (Johns et al., 2019; Johns et al., 2020). I take this very seriously; I am here.

I truly feel that finding community can make life meaningful. Sometimes “community” looks like a cat in your lap, or a friend by your side. Sometimes “community” starts with a counselor. I would love to be a part of your community.
