M.S. in Community Trauma Counseling
(she/her, they/them)
Hi, I’m Linda. I’m a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor with specialized training in trauma-informed care and community mental health from Thomas Jefferson University. I’ve worked with children, teens, and adults in schools, community mental health centers, nonprofit organizations, and outpatient settings. These experiences have shaped how I view therapy because I don’t see people as separate from their environment. Our relationships, families, communities, cultures, and life experiences all play a role in how we understand ourselves and move through the world.
One of the things I value most in therapy is the relationship itself. I know it can be difficult to open up, especially if you’ve felt misunderstood, judged, or unsupported in the past. My goal is to create a space where you can be yourself without feeling like you need to have everything figured out. I try to show up as a real person first which means being curious, nonjudgmental, and present. My approach is collaborative and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. Together, we’ll work to understand what’s going on, make sense of patterns that may no longer be serving you, and develop tools for navigating life’s challenges. I like to incorporate nervous system regulation, grounding skills, emotional awareness, and a mind-body perspective, especially when working with stress and trauma.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy hiking, playing and watching basketball, cooking, trying new restaurants, playing video games, and spending time with my loved ones. I’m also a fan of saunas, floatation pods, and anything that helps me slow down and recharge. I believe rest, connection, and enjoyment are important parts of well-being, not rewards we have to earn. If you’re considering therapy, I hope to offer a space where you can show up as you are, feel genuinely supported, and move toward a life that feels more aligned with who you are.
My therapy approaches are…
- Trauma-Informed Therapy
- Person-Centered Therapy
- Strengths-Based Therapy
- Systems Theory
- Integrative Therapy
- Relational Therapy
- Somatic/Body-Based Approaches
- Psychoeducation
- Skills-Based/Coping Skills Training
