Clinical Mental Health Counseling (She/Her/Hers)
Hello! My name is Leah Erb and I received my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health counseling from Gwynedd Mercy University. I completed my bachelor’s degree in psychology at Temple University and Philly still holds a special place in my heart. I have experience working with individuals of all backgrounds and populations who were experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, and self-esteem issues and domestic abuse. During my educational experience I was at Laurel House serving individuals who were or had experienced domestic abuse, physical, emotional/verbal, and financial. My clinical practices lean heavily on a humanistic person-centered technique when working with clients and focus on a holistic approach to their needs. I draw tools from Cognitive-Behavior therapy and Motivational interviewing to focus support, growth, and healing.
Creating a safe, calming, trusting and non-judgemental environment for clients is the root of my practices and the most important thing to start any process in therapy. Outside of the office I enjoy reading, spending time in nature, hanging out with friends, and volunteering in animal rescue. Starting therapy can be scary and overwhelming and I strive to support my clients through their process of challenges and understanding themselves. If you feel that I might be the right person to support you through this process please reach out- I look forward to meeting you!
